Account & general settings

Find your Letro settings and manage the basics — your display name, profile photo, contact email, and language.

Settings is where you control how Letro looks and works for you, and where you reach account and security tasks. The Account / General area is the landing page for the everyday basics; more involved tasks (like changing your password) each have their own page, linked below.

On Web & Desktop

  1. Select your avatar at the top of the silo list to open the profile menu.
  2. Choose All settings.
  3. Settings opens with a list of categories down the side — Account / General, Appearance, Notifications, Security & privacy, and more.
  4. Open Account / General to manage your basics:
  5. Display name — the name that appears next to your messages. Edit it and save.
  6. Profile photo — select your avatar to upload or change your picture.
  7. Contact email — add or update the email linked to your account, if your organization allows it.
  8. Language — pick the language Letro uses.

On iOS

  1. Tap your avatar at the top of the silo list to open settings.
  2. Tap your name / profile at the top to edit your display name and profile photo.
  3. Scroll the settings list to reach Account, Appearance, Notifications, and Security & privacy.
  4. Set your language and, if allowed, your contact email in the account section.

On Android

  1. Tap your avatar at the top of the silo list to open settings.
  2. Tap your name / profile at the top to edit your display name and profile photo.
  3. Scroll the settings list to reach Account, Appearance, Notifications, and Security & privacy.
  4. Set your language and, if allowed, your contact email in the account section.

Good to know

  • Your PostNumber is separate from your profile. You can update your display name and photo without changing the PostNumber people use to find and verify you.
  • Some fields may be managed by your organization. In certain deployments your display name or email is set by your company and can't be edited here. If a field is greyed out, that's why.
  • Deep tasks live on their own pages. Changing your password, managing your email, and adjusting how Letro looks each have dedicated pages — see the links below.
  • Security settings are separate. Device verification, your recovery key, and secure backup live under Security & privacy, not the general area.
