Set up your profile

Add a display name, photo, and language so colleagues recognize you and Letro feels like yours.

Your profile is how other people see you in Letro — your display name and profile photo appear next to your messages and in shared silos. Setting them up takes a minute and helps colleagues confirm they're talking to the right person.

Security note: A recognizable display name and photo make it easier for colleagues to spot impersonation. But the strongest proof that you're really you is device verification, not your name or picture — see Verify other people.

On Web & Desktop

  1. Select your avatar (top of the silo list) to open the profile menu, then choose All settings.
  2. Open the Account / General section.
  3. Profile photo: select your avatar and choose Upload to add or change your picture.
  4. Display name: edit the name field, then save.
  5. Contact details: add or update your email if your organization allows it (this can also be used for account recovery).
  6. Language: open the language dropdown and pick your preferred language for the app.

On iOS

  5. Set your language and, if allowed, your contact email in settings.

On Android

  1. Tap your avatar (top of the silo list) to open settings.

  5. Set your language and, if allowed, your contact email in settings.

Good to know

  • Your PostNumber is separate from your profile. You can update your display name and photo without changing the PostNumber people use to find and verify you.
  • Changes are visible to others. Your display name and photo are shared with people in your conversations, so use something appropriate for work.
  • Your organization may set some fields. In some deployments, your display name or email is managed by your company and can't be edited here. If a field is greyed out, that's why.
  • Adding an email helps recovery. A verified email can be used to reset your password if you're locked out — see Add or change your email.
