Download & install Letro

Get the Letro app on your phone, tablet, or computer so you can sign in and start messaging securely.

Letro runs on Web and Desktop, iOS, and Android, and you can use it on several devices at once — your conversations stay in sync across all of them. Install it wherever you work.

On Web & Desktop

You can use Letro straight from your browser, or install the desktop app for a dedicated window and better notifications.

In your browser

  1. Go to your Letro web address (for most organizations this is provided by your company — for example app.letro.com).
  2. That's it — you can sign in and use Letro without installing anything.

Desktop app (Windows, macOS, Linux)

  1. Open the Letro download page.
  2. Choose the installer for your operating system — Windows, macOS, or Linux.
  3. Run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts.
  4. Launch Letro and continue to Create your account & first sign-in.

Security note: Only download Letro from your organization's official download page or the official app stores. Installing from anywhere else risks a tampered app that could compromise your messages.

On iOS

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Search for Letro.
  3. Tap Get, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple Account password.
  4. Once it's installed, tap Open and continue to Create your account & first sign-in.

On Android

  1. Open Google Play on your phone or tablet.
  2. Search for Letro.
  3. Tap Install.
  4. Once it's installed, tap Open and continue to Create your account & first sign-in.

Good to know

  • Use Letro on more than one device. You can install it on your laptop and your phone at the same time; each new device is verified so you always know which of your devices have access. See Verify your own devices.
  • Keep the app up to date. Updates include security fixes. On mobile, enable automatic updates in the App Store or Google Play; on desktop, Letro will prompt you when a new version is available.
  • Your organization may distribute Letro for you. Some companies push the app to managed devices or provide a specific download link. If in doubt, ask your IT team which version to install.
  • System requirements. Letro needs a currently supported version of iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, or Linux. Very old operating systems may not be able to run it or receive security updates.
