FAQ — Settings & Notifications¶
Quick answers to the questions people ask most about setting up Letro the way they like it and staying on top of notifications.
How do I change the theme or text size?¶
Open your Appearance settings to switch between light and dark themes and adjust the text size for easier reading. Changes apply right away. See Appearance for the details.
Why am I not getting notifications?¶
Notifications can be blocked in two places: inside Letro, or by your device's system settings. Check that notifications are turned on in Letro's Notifications settings, then confirm Letro has permission to send notifications on your phone or computer. If they're still not coming through, work through Notification troubleshooting.
Where do I set my notification defaults?¶
Your app-wide defaults live in Notifications settings and decide how you're alerted across all your chats. You can then override these for any single silo, so a busy silo can stay quiet without changing everything else. See Notifications.
How do I mute a noisy silo?¶
Open the silo, go to its notification options, and set it to mute or to notify you only when you're mentioned. This affects just that silo and overrides your app-wide default. See Notifications.
How do I see the devices signed in to my account?¶
Your Sessions settings list every device currently signed in to Letro. From there you can name a device, verify it, or sign out any session you don't recognize. It's worth reviewing this now and then for security. See Sessions and devices.
How do I sign out a device I no longer use?¶
Go to your Sessions settings, find the device in the list, and sign it out. This is the safest thing to do if a device is lost or stolen, since it removes that device's access to your encrypted chats. See Sessions and devices.
Where do I change my password or email?¶
Open your General account settings to update your password, email, and other account details. If your account uses Google sign-in, you'll manage your password through Google instead. See Account and general settings.
How do I make Letro easier to use?¶
Letro works with your device's built-in accessibility tools, and you can adjust text size and theme to suit you. See Accessibility and Appearance.
